Josh Porter
Owner, Business Director

Josh Porter is the Business Director for Ovations Studio and Ovations Downtown  Events. Josh’s background is in Graphic Design and he owns his own marketing and design firm called Porter Promo Inc. Josh grew up in Sapulpa and studied business and graphic design at NSU and UCO. In 2006, he began the renovation project for the new home of Ovations. As project manager he had the vision and the plan that made it all come together. Because of his efforts Ovations received an award for best adaptive reuse of a historical building at the Sapulpa Main Street awards and was nominated for two of the top three honors on the state level. Formerly Josh used his musical ability in Sapulpa’s home grown band, Prizefighter. After being on the road with the Extreme Tour and living in Oklahoma City, Josh and Rachel planted roots in Sapulpa. Josh is an active youth worker at First Baptist Church and is on the board of directors for the Sapulpa Main Street and Sapulpa Arts as well as a member of the Sapulpa Economic Development Committee.

Amy Morgan
Dance Instructor

Amy Morgan started dance at the age of three and immediately fell in love with tap dancing.  She danced all through high school and was a member of the Ping-Pings and captain her senior year.  Amy went on to become a Kilgore College Rangerette in Kilgore, Texas, where she was selected as a Swingster and a tap soloist in their Spring Show called Revels.  As a Rangerette, she performed at the Cotton Bowl, various Dallas Cowboy football games, the Jingle Elf parade in Chicago and the Texas Governor’s Inaugural Parade.  She has attended the St. Louis Tap Festival many times and has taken classes from award winning choreographers such as Savion Glover, Van Porter, Diane Walker and Sam Alexander.  Amy works as a sales representative for a yearbook publishing company in the Tulsa area.  She is thrilled to be a part of the Ovations family and is looking forward to the new year

Kristye McKinney
Tumbling Instructor

Kristye McKinney graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Elementary Education and was a member of the cheer team for four years, including the years the OSU Cheer team was National Champions. As a High School cheerleader she was chosen as a NCA All-American Cheerleader, and in college was selected as a college All-American.  Kristye received a master's degree in school counseling from NSU.  Along with her education she was an NCA instructor for seven years and coach of the Jenks Varsity Cheerleaders.  Currently, Kristye is a school counselor at Woodlawn Elementary School and teaches tumbling classes for students Pre-K through High School. She has been married to Chuck McKinney for fifteen years and has three children: Garrett-8th grade, Jansyn-7th grade, Macye 3rd grade.  The McKinneys attend Asbury Methodist Church.

Rachel Porter
Owner, Dance Director

Rachel Porter began dance at the age of four in Sandra’s School of Dance. Through school she was an assistant teacher for Sandra Widdoes Wells, along with being a Ping Ping (Sapulpa High School Dance Team) member and Captain. After High School Rachel was selected to be a Kilgore College Rangerette, and worked as a dance teacher at Marylue Audas School of Dance in Gladewater, TX. As a Rangerette she performed in the 2000 Presidential Inaugural Parade and Black Tie and Boots Inaugural Ball, pre-game and half-time shows for the Cotton Bowl, several Dallas Cowboy games, and countless other performances. After Kilgore, she graduated from the University of Oklahoma with public relations and worked in a prestigious P.R. Firm in Oklahoma City. Rachel is certified in Pilates under the Pilates Method Alliance and is the dance team director for the Ping Pings. Rachel also works with Mike Miller Special Events to prepare dance team members from around the country for performances in the Cotton Bowl and Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Rachel continues her education by studying under world-renown instructors through conferences at Oklahoma City University, the Dance Life Conference in Boston and several workshops throughout the year.

Rebecca LaFevers
Pilates Instructor

Rebecca LaFevers has studied Pilates for over 6 years.  She began classes at the University of Oklahoma where she graduated with a degree in Public Relations. Rebecca worked for Jones PR Group until she became engaged in 2005 and moved back to her hometown of Sapulpa.  After moving, she continued to study Pilates and became certified to teach.  Rebecca became the Pilates instructor at Ovations in September 2006 and is an avid golf player.  She is the owner of LaFevers Insurance Agency and married to Jon LaFevers. Rebecca is an active community supporter through board membership on Show, Inc., Chamber etc membership on Show, Inc., and is a member of several Chamber of Commerce Committees, Leadership Creek County, Nu Rho and LifeStream.

Sue Bross
Ballroom Instructor

Sue Brose, instructor of Social Ballroom and Country Dancing and Dance Sport for all ages.  Sue Brose is certified through the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.  She has had 6 years of intensive training with such professionals as Andrew Smart, former World 10 Dance Champion and director of the World Dance Arts Foundation in Florida; Jean Marc Generoux and France Mousseau, multiple champions, choreographer and judge for “So You Think You Can Dance?”  and coach and choreographer for the French Canadian Olympic Dance Team; Randy Tuttle, local dance instructor, choreographer; and professional stage dancer; certified under Rudy DeBruin with the International USISTD, Blackpool Champion, instructor and International test examiner,  She has been an instructor for 3 years for dancers from elementary years through the golden age of 87.
